Cairo is a very special kitty who deserves a very special home. She was rescued from being euthanized at a local shelter after her "owners" dumped her there. When Cairo came to her foster she was a shell of a cat, and her foster had to work with her to bring out her personality. Cairo is now a very loving cat, who loves to snuggle and sit in your lap. She has very soft meow, and will talk to her humans when she feels like she needs to voice her opinion. She is very laid back and easy going, but loves to be with her people. Cairo is very delicate on her feet and she is very gentle, she's a sweet little lady.
Since Cairo is FeLV+ she needs to be an only cat, or in a home with other FeLV+ cats. FeLV is species specific and is only contagious to other cats; it is not contagious to humans, dogs, or other non-cat animals. Cairo must always remain indoors and be fed a nutritiously balanced diet. Cats can live 3-4 years beyond their diagnosis, or even longer, with some living into their 20s. Cairo would love nothing more than to spend that time with a family of her own.
