Have you ever heard the old adage “trust is earned...”? Goodness did this little lady make us work for it! Coffee is one of the most endearing kittens we’ve ever fostered; she is loving and sweet and gentle and kind but it took her longer than the others to open up and let us in. The most magical part of fostering is watching a scared, shy, meek baby blossom into a trusting, affectionate, and confident creature and Coffee has made it extraordinarily far along in that transformation. She had to endure a lot of transitions in her first week with us, i.e. vet trips, administering medications, learning how to live inside a house with people who absolutely adore her and wouldn’t leave her alone! But at the end of day 4, as I sat on the floor of our kitten room, Coffee sauntered right up to me, lay down in my lap and started to purr ever so faintly and I knew she would make her forever family truly happy. Coffee gets along really well with her sister and our other foster kittens, loves my 8-year-old son and his friends, and of course, can’t get enough of cuddling with us in bed; she snuggles right up to my neck and falls fast asleep.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
