You are not going to believe what happened to my kitty friends and me!
We had a nice life in southwest Florida. Our Momma had caught us as kittens and brought us inside to take care of us. Everything was great for a while. But our Daddy got very sick and left us this past summer. We had Momma, so even though she was very sad, it was okay. Then one day Momma was running all over the house frantic. We heard the news talking about Hurricane Ian and how it was going to hit Fort Myers. My kitty friends and I decided to find a good hiding place in the house. Momma called and cried for us for over an hour, but we wouldn't budge from our comfy spot.
Then it got very dark and loud and scary. It was a rainstorm like nothing we'd ever experienced! And the water came inside our house! We managed to scramble to safety until the awful noise stopped and the water went away.
Momma came home and was just heartbroken because her house was destroyed. She was so relieved we were okay, but because she had no where to stay, she had to give us up. Momma said I was sweet and my sister Treble was pretty, so it would be easier for us to get adopted. I know she's very sad about this, but our foster mom told her that Cats Can would make sure we found good fur-ever homes. I have lost so much in a short time, that I would love to be adopted with Treble.
From Teddy's foster:
Teddy is a very sweet kitty. She's not a lap cat, but she comes running up to greet me when I go in the guest room where she stays. She loves to bump her head against me and nuzzle me. Teddy needs a patient adopter who understands the trauma she has been through has made her a little hesitant, but that she is a very loving cat once she has an opportunity to feel safe.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
