Shelly is a very gentle little boy who loves to eat and drink and play with toys that make noise. He loves interactive play with people. He is very easy-gong and accepting of other cats and kittens. He spent a couple months in isolation at a county shelter where he was treated for a bad upper respiratory infection. We rescued him to prevent him from being euthanized, as we feel his issues are way too minor to prevent a happy and fulfilling life!
Shelly gets around very well despite very poor to no eyesight. At the very least he appears to sees lights and shadows, because he doesn’t bump into things and gets around confidently. He does not yet attempt to climb or jump on things. He has no trouble navigating to his litter box or food and water.
Shelly has a history of minor seizures which cause him to bob his head a few times and stay motionless for a few seconds. Occasionally he will pause for a second and his eyes will twitch. These are infrequent, but his new family should be willing to take him to a vet to try to determine a cause and possibly try medication to see if the petit mal seizures stop.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
