From the foster parent:
Treble and her companion, Teddy, came to us from a woman in Ft. Myers.
The woman lost her husband in July. In September, Hurricane Ian destroyed her home. She decided not to rebuild, but to move back up north to be with family. She had four cats and could not find anyone or anywhere to take all of them, so she reached out for assistance in rehoming two of them.
I saw the Facebook post (and how mean some people were being to this woman) and offered to take the cats and find homes for them through Cats Can, Inc.
The cats came to me traumatized from all the recent changes in their life (not to mention living through a major hurricane with a storm surge that sent water several feet high into the house).
Her original human Mom described Treble as slightly shy, but very playful.
I have found that Treble is a little timid and doesn't like being handled. If she is given her space, though, she is very sweet. She likes laying next to me and will occasionally turn over and invite a belly rub. She is food motivated, and will take a treat right out of my hand.
Since the cats have already lost so much, we would like for them to be adopted together.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
